IBM launches BladeCenter Express Bus

IBM announced the launch of the IBM Blade Center Express Bus with the goal to reach out effectively to its existing and potential customers. The BladeCenter Express Bus is equipped with the latest BladeCenter S Chassis, a "datacenter in a box" - integrating servers, storage and networking all into one box as well as the new HS22 Blade Server.

The BladeCenter "datacenter in a box" is easy to deploy and runs on standard office power making it ideal for small and medium busienss (SMB) customers looking for a one-stop IT Infra solution and for Enterprise customers looking to deploy IT for remote branches.

Migrating from older rack and blade servers to the new HS22 blade servers can result in up to 93 per cent saving on energy costs. Also, the HS22 Blade server's enhanced memory footprint makes it ideal for customers wanting to run virtualized workloads and SAP workloads. The Blade Center Express Bus will showcase via a live demonstration, the benefits of the BladeCenter family and the advantages of the IBM BladeCenter Portfolio and its management features.

IBM Blade Center Express Bus will be in Delhi for the entire month of June where in it will travel to customer locations for demonstrations. IBM will effectively leverage its robust Business Partner Network to take this innovative concept to its clients. IBM's family of BladeCenter offerings is the best way to optimise IT and build an IT Infrastructure that is open and green. IBM BladeCenter as a whole (blades and chassis combined) is purposefully designed to maximize the efficiency of power and cooling.

The IBM BladeCenter supports blade servers with Intel, AMD, Power and Cell processors with a potential cost savings in management costs of up to 44 percent. The Blade Center Express team will also demonstrate How the BladeCenter S can be configured easily in a very short time.

IBM Blade Center Express Bus is also scheduled to travel to NCR, Chandigarh and neighboring towns in the coming months.
