Jabra Launches Multiuse BT Headset

GN has just launched a new Jabra Bluetooth headset – the BT530 USB - in India. The Jabra BT530 USB is the only Multiuse headset to feature Noise Blackout, a sophisticated noise cancellation technology that helps remove ambient sound while trying not to compromise on voice quality. By combining this technology with Multiuse functionality, which enables the headset to simultaneously connect to a PC and a mobile phone through the accompanying A330 Bluetooth Adapter and Jabra PC suite, GN Netcom has created what could be a powerful business tool that will enable professionals to communicate from anywhere using just one device.




"The role of the traditional office is changing rapidly and it is no longer the hubof the working environment. Most enterprises now have a dispersed workforce and as many as 86 per cent let staff work from home one day per week," explained Ralph Ede, Managing Director, South Asia, GN.

Used together with advanced DSP technology and Audio Shock Protection that monitors incoming audio volume, sound is innovatively balanced to block out background sound, leaving both sides of the call with a natural sounding voice quality. According to the company, the Jabra BT 530 USB headset will provide users with a five and half hour talk time and can work up to a range of 10 meters. It also supports A2DP and can be charged via the built-in micro USB port. The headset also has auto-pair technology. It is light (10 grams)and comfortable to wear and comes with a selection of six Jabra Ear gels and a removable ear hook allowing the user to wear the headset throughout the day comfortably.
The Jabra A330 USB Bluetooth adapter supports Windows 2000/ Windows XP/ Windows Vista and works with leading soft phones such as Skype, Cisco Communicator and Microsoft Office Communicator 2007.

TriSpecs integrate the patented STEPvoice software from STEP Labs. STEP Labs’ software is able to tell the difference between the wearer’s voice and other voices, sounds, and noises, preserving the natural fidelity of the voice and producing near-perfect voice recognition performance, and impeccable noise cancellation.

There’s no official pricing though a few reports state that the glasses would cost a little less than Rs. 9,800 ($200). Availability is also yet to be disclosed.
