Radeon HD 4890 coming in April?

As Nvidia and AMD continue to battle it out against each other for the graphics performance crown, VR-Zone claims to have confirmed the former is planning to release a new single-GPU card in April called the Radeon HD 4890. The new card is expected to use the RV790 core and come clocked at 850MHz with GDDR5 running at 975MHz.

By comparison, the current RV770-based HD 4870 has a core clock speed of 750MHz and GDDR5 running at 900MHz. The site also says that the GPU will have an operating voltage of 1.3V but makes no mention of an increase in the number of stream processing units. The new Radeon HD 4890 is expected to be up to 30% faster than the current HD 4870 and should cost $299 at launch.
