CeBIT 09: Kingston Releases HyperX SO-DIMMS for Netbooks

Kingston Technology has announced the release of a high-performance 2GB HyperX SO-DIMM specifically targeted at owners of netbook computing devices using the Intel Atom processor.

Shipping immediately, the new SO-DIMM is designed to increase system performance by using faster latency timings in netbook computers that support 533MHz bus specifications.

"A netbook or mobile internet device will automatically recognize the preset low latency value of the HyperX memory module and properly boot the mobile device to provide higher performance than standard memory," said Mark Tekunoff, senior technology manager, Kingston. "Netbooks are growing in popularity and Kingston is pleased to present a HyperX module that makes these small mobile devices run faster."

The 2GB HyperX SO-DIMM is suitable for netbooks like the Asus Eee, MSI Wind and Gigabyte UMPC lines.

Kingston HyperX is backed by a lifetime warranty and free 24/7 technical support.
